Tennessee: Taking Life One Tiny Step at a Time

Tennessee is a young kitten with a lot of growing left to do-not physically (although she's working on that too), but emotionally. The world is still a pretty big, overwhelming place, and she's not entirely convinced that every new person or strange noise is something she should trust.

Can you blame her? Being a kitten is hard work.

While Tennessee is still shy and cautious, she's beginning to learn that good things happen when people are around. She's making progress at her own pace, and every day brings a little more confidence than the day before.

We think Tennessee would do especially well in a home with friendly, confident cats who can help show her how this whole family-cat business works. A seasoned feline mentor could help her discover that windows are for bird-watching, couches are for napping, and humans are actually pretty great servants. She also really enjoys playing (from a distance...think wands, strings, etc.) This will be a potential adopter's way in.

Tennessee isn't the kitten who's going to charge into your lap on day one demanding attention. She's looking for someone willing to give her time, patience, and a safe place to grow. In return, you'll get the privilege of watching a shy little kitten slowly learn that she's finally home.

Some cats arrive ready for the spotlight. Tennessee is still finding her confidence-but we think she's going to shine.
