That said, Jersey is making progress every day. Beneath that cautious exterior is a sweet kitten who's slowly learning that people aren't so scary after all. He just needs a little patience and understanding while he builds his confidence.

We think Jersey would thrive in a home with one or more friendly, confident adult cats. Having experienced feline role models around could help show him that the vacuum won't eat him, visitors aren't monsters, and humans are actually pretty useful when treats are involved.

Jersey isn't looking for a family that expects him to be the life of the party on day one. He's looking for people who understand that some of the best friendships take time to develop. Give him a safe place, a little patience, and the chance to grow at his own pace, and you'll get to watch a shy kitten blossom into the cat he was always meant to be.
