Meet Pineki: her name is Hawaiian for "peanut," which is fitting because she is, in fact, a tiny little peanut.

Unfortunately, she's also a tiny little peanut with some very firm opinions about being touched.

Pineki is much more interested in investigating the world than participating in it with humans. She's incredibly curious, likes to play, and has the kind of fearless "what happens if I stick my nose in here?" attitude that makes kittens endlessly entertaining. Every toy is worth chasing. Every crinkly sound deserves an investigation. Every cardboard box is an archaeological dig waiting to happen.

People, however? She's still deciding.

Pineki isn't looking for a cuddle buddy just yet, and she'll happily let you know that she'd prefer to admire you from a respectful distance. The good news is that curiosity is a powerful thing. It's one of the best qualities a shy kitten can have because it helps her build confidence and slowly discover that maybe humans aren't so bad after all.

She'll thrive with a cat-savvy adopter who understands that trust can't be rushed. Give her time, let her move at her own pace, and celebrate the little wins. One day, this tiny peanut may decide that you're worth hanging out with-and when you've earned that trust, it'll feel like winning the lottery.
