Meet Marigold

Marigold came to us as part of a trapping project involving several cats who were displaced after their owner put their home up for sale and abandoned most of the cats outside. She was trapped alongside three other cats who appear to be around the same age, and she seems particularly close with our beautiful Tortie girl, who we believe may be her littermate.

Marigold is still a little unsure of people and may need some time to feel comfortable, but she has never shown an ounce of aggression. With patience, consistency, and love, we know she will continue to blossom.

There's another important part of Marigold's story: when she was spayed, our veterinary team discovered that she had pyometra, a potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that can occur in unspayed females. Thankfully, we got her into rescue before this became a much more serious emergency. She's now recovered and ready to find the safe, loving home she deserves.

Marigold and her Tortie friend Maple seem to have a bond. We won't require them to be adopted together, but seeing these two girls get to stay together would be the perfect ending to their story.

Marigold is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, FeLV/FIV negative, dewormed, and current on flea prevention.

She is currently waiting for her forever home at our adoption center inside PetSmart in Northeast Philadelphia at 7422 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19152.
