I want to tell you where I started, because I think it matters. I came into rescue as a feral cat. I would not allow anyone to touch me for months. The world felt unsafe and people felt unpredictable, and keeping my distance was the only way I knew how to protect myself. But the people around me were steady and gentle and endlessly patient, and little by little I learned something new: that I did not always have to be afraid. I started to come out of my shell. I started to become the sweet, wonderful companion I am today, and I did not do it all at once but I did it, and that means everything. I am a small girl who adores other cats, and having a feline companion in my new home would likely bring me real comfort as I adjust. Dogs are something I am scared of, and a dog-free environment is what I need to feel truly safe. Whoever adopts me should know that I will come to them carefully. I may be nervous at first. I will need space and gentleness and time to learn that my new home is a place where I can finally relax. But for the right person, patient and kind and willing to let me set the pace, what comes on the other side of that waiting period is genuinely worth it. I am proof that love and patience can change a life. I would love the chance to prove it one more time.
