Let me tell you a little about who I am. My name is Moose, and I am a dog who has learned that kindness heals. My first dad loved me deeply but lost his home and could no longer keep me. I had been attacked by street dogs and was not in good shape when I arrived, sleeping for three full days while I recovered. My foster family took me in, made sure I was neutered and vaccinated, and got me on proper flea prevention. My old diet of table food and budget kibble had taken a toll, but with real care, I came back to a healthy, trim 70 pounds.

What I have become because of that care is a dog you will feel proud to call yours. I am gentle by nature, but I know how to have fun. My little housemate dog climbs all over me, and instead of getting flustered, I drop right to the ground and meet him where he is. I share space with two senior cats who are not interested in socializing, and I leave them entirely in peace. Good manners come naturally to me.

Taking me out is a joy. I walk right beside you on a leash without tugging, and I have never once tried to bolt past an open door. Car rides are something I genuinely look forward to. When we are home, I will happily lay at your feet or stay close at your side wherever you go. Treats are accepted with a soft mouth and plenty of gratitude.

This next chapter is opening up because circumstances changed around me, not because of anything I lacked. My foster mom took work out of state and is bringing my buddy along. My foster dad works long days, and both kids have moved on to their own big paths in life. I am not a dog who needs constant attention, but I am a dog who deserves a home with enough room in the schedule to love me back. I would thrive with a young family, an active couple, or a quieter household where someone is usually around to share the day with me.
