When I first meet someone new I tend to find myself a good hiding spot and observe from a safe distance. But my curiosity never lets me stay hidden for long. Those big, beautiful ears of mine start picking up interesting sounds and before I know it I am peering around the corner to see what is going on, because I simply cannot help myself. When I finally decide that someone is trustworthy, I make it known. I will purr, I will accept gentle pets, and I will slowly reveal the loyal, loving companion that has been here the whole time. A gentle home with patience and a soft touch is where I will truly come alive.
