In a home where I am the one and only feline, I absolutely thrive. When we first meet, I will probably hang back and take you in. I tend to be a little reserved at first, though I was comfortable being petted pretty quickly. The part that takes longer is deciding to ask for affection on my own terms, and once I get there, the real Smudge comes out. I am a talker. I will narrate my day, tell you exactly when I am hungry, and make sure you never wonder what is on my mind. My foster family has even joked about setting me up with communication buttons, and honestly, I think I would take to that pretty quickly. Food is very much my love language, so if you want to make a good impression, lead with snacks. Churu is my absolute weakness and it even makes nail trims tolerable, which is saying something. When I feel comfortable and safe, I love playing with wand toys, though I like to do it my way: stalking, waiting, watching, and then pouncing when the moment is just right.
