Trout - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Kankakee, Illinois

I’m one of several cats who were sadly left behind in a home in Chicago Heights. When we were rescued, every one of us was covered in fleas and needed some much-needed TLC. Thankfully, we weren’t too sick or underweight, and with a little care and love, we’ve all bounced back beautifully!

Because of my past, I’m not the kind of kitty who will immediately demand your attention or follow you around like a little shadow. I do enjoy pets and affection—I just prefer to take things at my own pace. I’m more of an independent companion than a “velcro kitty,” but once I know I’m safe and loved, I’ll be happy to share my home and my heart with you.

What I’m really looking for is a family who will make me a promise: I’ll never be left behind again. In return, I promise to be the best kitty I can be and give you all the love I have to give.
