Meet Bebe & Smoke — a mama-and-son duo ready for their next chapter.

Bebe and Smoke didn't come into rescue because nobody wanted them.

Quite the opposite. They were very much loved.

After their owner passed away, her family was unable to keep Bebe and Smoke due to no fault of the cats. So now it's our turn to help these two well-loved cats find their next homes.

BEBE — The Laid-Back Mama

Bebe is a beautiful, very tame girl with gorgeous green eyes and an easygoing, laid-back personality.

She's comfortable with other cats and isn't the least bit intimidated by dogs. But Bebe certainly doesn't need another animal in her home — she'd be perfectly happy as someone's one-and-only kitty, soaking up all the attention for herself.

One of our favorite things about Bebe is her voice. She makes the cutest little sound that her foster describes as almost like a bird chirping.

Bebe does have one little hobby her future family needs to know about: she's a door dasher! This curious girl will take an opportunity to investigate the great outdoors if one presents itself, so her family will need to be mindful when coming and going.

SMOKE — The Sweet & Handsome Son

Smoke is every bit as tame and sweet as his mama, with a personality that's a wonderful mix of playful and easygoing.

He enjoys playing and having fun, but he also appreciates his quiet time and is perfectly content to settle down and relax.

Smoke hadn't previously lived with dogs, but apparently nobody told him dogs were something he might want to worry about. He shows no fear of them at all. And unlike his mama, Smoke has shown no interest in making a run for the door.

His foster sums him up pretty perfectly:

He's every bit as sweet as he is handsome.

Although Bebe and Smoke came to us together, they are not bonded and do not need to be adopted together. They can certainly stay together if someone falls in love with both, but each would also do just fine being adopted separately.

And while they're comfortable around other animals, either Bebe or Smoke could happily be your only kitty.

These two have already known what it means to be someone's beloved pets. Through circumstances completely beyond their control, they lost both their person and the home they knew.

Now Bebe and Smoke are simply looking for the chance to be someone's beloved cats again.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
