Meet the Library Litter: Inkwell, Purrlogue, Dewey Decikitten, Quill & Bookmark
Every great story has a beginning, and this one starts at the Macon Library on a warm day in May.
Tucked among the shelves of life, five tiny kittens were discovered just as summer was beginning to make its entrance. They were small enough that a few bowls of wet food and some irresistible treats quickly convinced them that people weren't so bad after all. Before long, curiosity replaced caution, and these little bookworms began writing the next chapter of their lives.
Their names couldn't suit them better.
Inkwell, Purrlogue, Quill, Bookmark, and the lone gentleman of the group, Dewey Decikitten, are playful, affectionate kittens who believe every string deserves to be chased, every ball should be pounced on, and every day should include a new adventure. If it rolls, dangles, bounces, or crinkles, it's instantly the most exciting toy in the world.
Like the best stories, they're even better together. This crew adores one another, enjoys the company of other kittens, and would love homes where they can continue their adventures with a feline friend—or perhaps even go home with one of their siblings.
Each of these kittens has a unique personality, but they all share the same happy ending they're hoping to find: a family to call their own.
So whether you're looking to start a new chapter, fill your home with laughter, or simply add a little more joy to your story, the Library Litter is ready to check out...and never be overdue.
After all, every home deserves a tale with a purr-fect ending.
Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.
All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
