Meet Henrietta!
Henrietta's story began outside a nursing home in Columbus, Mississippi, where this tiny girl was trying to make it on her own. When she first arrived in foster care, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with humans. She preferred to admire us from a distance and made it very clear that trust would have to be earned.
Then we discovered the key to her heart...
Food is Henrietta's love language!
With a few tasty meals, a little patience, and lots of kindness, Henrietta blossomed into a sweet, affectionate kitten who now enjoys being loved on by her people. She still has a touch of independence, but she's learned that humans aren't so bad after all.
Like any kitten, Henrietta is full of playful energy. She loves chasing toys, wrestling with her kitten friends, and turning ordinary household objects into the greatest adventures. She'll keep you laughing with her silly antics and playful personality.
Henrietta has formed a special bond with another foster kitten named Velcro. The two spend their days playing, exploring, and snuggling together when it's time for a nap. While Henrietta does not have to be adopted with Velcro, they make an incredibly adorable pair and would love to continue their adventures together if the right family opened their home to both.
She would also do well with another playful kitten in the home to help keep her company.
Henrietta has come so far from the shy little kitten she once was. All she needed was someone to show her kindness—and a few good meals along the way. Now she's ready to find a family who will love her for the rest of her life.
Could Henrietta be the newest member of your family?
Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.
All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
