Meet Evangeline and Angelique — a fuzzy, beautiful duo whose story began on Lehmberg Road in Columbus, MS. Found as tiny neonates, they were brought to the ColumbusLowndes Humane Society by a kind passerby. From there, they were scooped up by one of our best bottlebaby fosters who gave them the roundtheclock care they needed to survive.
When she had to leave for an extended trip, another of our best fosters stepped in just as the girls were newly weaned, giving them the space and time to grow into the confident, peopleloving kittens they are today.
While they aren't bonded, these two absolutely adore each other — and they really adore people. Every day, they greet their foster mom at the door like she's the guest of honor. They're championship snugglers, championship players, and fulltime entertainers.
Their hobbies include:
Wand toys (elite athletes)
Crinkle balls (obsessed)
Laser dots (undefeated)
Snuggling (goldmedal level)
They get along wonderfully with other cats and would likely adjust to a friendly dog with a proper introduction. If you've been searching for the purrrfect duo, you can stop right here. Evangeline and Angelique are ready to bring joy, laughter, and double the love to their forever home.
Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.
All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
