Butterbean may have had a rough start, but you'd never know it from her sunny personality.

This sweet little girl came to us from Lamar County, Alabama, after one of our rescuers was contacted by someone who was threatening to dump her. Thankfully, Butterbean got the second chance she deserved—and she's been making the most of it ever since.

At just 4 months old, Butterbean is everything people love about kittens. She's playful, curious, and always ready for the next adventure, whether that's chasing toys across the room, wrestling with a feline friend, or climbing into your lap for some well-earned attention. She's been loved and handled from a young age, so being picked up and cuddled is just part of her routine.

Butterbean is wonderfully social and gets along beautifully with everyone she meets. She's great with kids, dogs, and other cats, making her an easy fit for just about any family looking to add a fun, affectionate kitten to the mix.

Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only.

All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
