Hi there! My name is Poppy and I'm a 1 year old Female Domestic Shorthair currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!

I was brought in as a transfer from an overcrowded shelter and seeking new human staff. Unlimited snacks, warm laps, and the occasional zoomies are a must. Whether I'm lounging on my bed or soaking up the sun by the window, I'm happiest just being near the people I love. Like many cats, I may need some time to settle into a new environment, but with a little patience and kindness, I'll be sure to blossom. To help me thrive and stay safe, I'd do best in an indoor only home where I can enjoy scratching posts, toys, and warm meals. Every feline friend had their own unique personality and I'm very excited to show you mine! So come on in and meet me, we might just be the perfect match.

Like all animals at Santa Barbara Humane, before going home I will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped . My adoption also includes a complimentary post-adoption health exam with a participating local veterinary clinic as well as a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help make my first few days at home a little easier.

If you're ready to welcome me or another animal into your family, stop by during adoption hours-daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays. No appointment or advance notice is required!
