Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption in Fairfax, Virginia

LUCY

Domestic Short Hair
🇺🇸
Fairfax, Virginia
April 15th
female, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Lucy — an independent, curious cat with a gentle side.
Lucy explores new spaces and likes to check in with her people on her own terms. She enjoys brief petting but will calmly move away when she’s had enough. Once she’s comfortable, she may nap nearby or curl up in your lap (especially with a soft blanket), though she isn’t always seeking to be pet.
She has a strong interest in toys and plays with quick, energetic movements while using a gentle mouth and soft paws. Lucy would thrive in a home that understands her need for space, enrichment, and clear communication. She’s a smart, lively girl who bonds best when her boundaries are respected.

This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 14 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff.

Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
