Amewlia - Domestic Short Hair and Tabby Cat for Adoption in Cookeville, Tennessee

Hi! My name is Amewlia (named after Amelia Earhart). I was a stray who showed up at a Cookeville home with a barn on the property. First I started showing up by myself, and not long after that I moved my kittens into the area because I hoped it was safe for them. I didn't exactly lead by good example as I often went up and down and crossed the busy road. Thankfully, I was never hit before Ms Tana trapped me. (by then my kittens were probably 3-4 months old & would disappear for days, then suddenly show back up. Ms Tana was trying to trap them too)

Anyway, I got spayed, combo tested negative, rabies and fvrcp vaccinated, dewormed, and left ear tipped in July 2025 right before all the worst fireworks. I have been with Ms Tana and the other Feline Felicity kitties for a year and just got my exam and vaccines updated on 7/3/26. I also got microchipped. I was not very friendly at first because I wasn't sure I could trust Ms Tana, but after a year of living here, I've become a sweet girl. I even acted fine with everybody at the vet clinic even though it was all different, and I was kind of scared. I was happy to get back into the house I knew.

I would like to have a home where I do not have to share so much. What I mean is that I want someone to have more time just for me specifically. I'm a good girl who had a rough start in life and want more one on one TLC attention. I will be your best feline friend if you give me the chance. I have also proven that I can get along with other cats pretty well and even tolerate the one dog Ms. Tana has. (Thankfully though her dog usually ignores most of us cats.) If you have room in your heart and home to share it with me furever, I promise you won't regret it. Just give me a chance please. You can also offer me a foster home until I find a purrmanent one. (I have never been around children and would probably not be a good choice for children or anyone inexperienced with cats.)
