Meet Priscilla & Arrow!
Some friendships are instant...and some are forever.
Priscilla is a beautiful brown tabby, about 23 years old, with gorgeous golden highlights woven throughout her coat. She first came into rescue with her lone kitten a few months ago.
Arrow is a young black-and-white girl who came to us a little later.
Although they arrived at different times, they came from the same colony, and it didn't take long before they found each other again. We can only assume they knew one another outside because they bonded almost immediately.
If you look through their photos, you'll see exactly what we mean.
They're almost always snuggled together, spooning one another, finding comfort in one another, and reminding us every day that friendships between cats can be just as meaningful as ours.
Priscilla is a quiet, gentle soul. When she first arrived, her foster worried because she was so subdued. She wasn't sick, and she wasn't injured. She simply preferred to quietly observe the world around her instead of being the center of attention.
She's the definition of an easygoing couch potato.
Arrows journey was a little different.
When she came to us, she was underweight, beaten up from life outside, and very sick. During her veterinary exam, we discovered she had pyometra, a severe infection of the uterus that can quickly become life-threatening.
Thankfully, we got her to surgery in time.
It was amazing to watch her recover. She gained weight, her coat became soft and shiny again, her little nose healed, and she blossomed into the happy girl she was always meant to be.
Now these two spend their days together at one of our adoption centers, usually curled up side by side.
They're more than two cats sharing a bed.
They're two friends who clearly find comfort, confidence, and happiness in one another.
Because of that special bond, wed love to see them adopted together.
We think the love they share with each other is only the beginning of the love they'll bring into someones home.
