Sadie is a gorgeous calico cat who came into our care with her stunning litter of kittens. With an estimated birthdate of 11/16/2024, Sadie is nearly a kitten herself, and she runs and plays with her babies as if she's reclaiming lost time! Sadie has become particularly close to her daughter, Eloise (estimated birthdate 3/2/2026), with whom she romps, chases, and wrestles. We suspect that Sadies diet prior to rescue consisted largely of table scraps, as she is highly motivated by the aroma of anything meaty, and will even try to beg for bread! Fortunately, she redirects beautifully with high value cat food and eats her meals calmly. An ideal family will be comfortable helping her continue her journey towards understanding that delicious food will always be available for her. Positive reinforcement is key!

Eloise is a gentle and loving kitten who enjoys getting pets, being brushed, and playing with her wand toy. She can be slightly shy at first, but her curious nature quickly gets the best of her. She has a frolicsome play style that is as silly as it is adorable. Because they are bonded, Sadie and Eloise must be adopted together.

Sadie has done a remarkable job of caring for her girls, despite being barely a year old herself. While we're not completely sure about her prior family, we know that she and her kittens were surrendered by their owner. Sadie was emaciated, which is common when a juvenile animal becomes pregnant. Needless to say, she has gained weight and is in perfect shape now. She is learning that food insecurity is no longer a part of her life.

Sadie and Eloise are being fostered in a home with other cats and can live comfortably with multiple feline companions. We recommend no more than one or two calmer cats or even another kitten. Sadie does best with folks who enjoy her beauty and playful nature but can respect that it will take a little time and patience before she's sitting in your lap. Therefore, we anticipate she would do well in a home with older children (tweens or older).
