Nina - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

Nina is a sweet calico cat (estimated birthdate 10/20/2023) whose confidence and curiosity blossom once she feels safe in her environment. She is obsessed with her bumblebee wand toy and enjoys chasing toy mice, springs, and little balls. She also loves playing with backpacks! Ninas favorite napping spots are her dining chair, a cat perch/donut, and any available sunbeam on the floor. She loves looking out the window and observing all that is in her domain. Nina has come a long way with the patience of her foster family. She now loves head and chin scratches with her wand toy and will accept some hand pets, especially when she is relaxed and sleepy. She is a creature of routine. If a stranger walks in, shell dart to a favorite hiding spot before venturing back, each time a bit faster than the last.

Nina was rescued in conjunction with a TNR project.

Nina is a loving, playful girl who just needs a patient adopter willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace. Once she does, the bond she will form with her humans is incredibly rewarding. Nina would do just fine in a home with other cats. She has not been exposed to dogs or children.
