Lillian - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Calgary, Alberta

Queen Lillian does not wait to be formally introduced. Walk into the room and she is already on her way over, trilling, purring, and preparing to press her forehead into you. Sit down and she will begin the full-body rubaround, making sure every available part of you has been properly claimed.

She is mostly white, with all of her calico colouring concentrated into a beautifully painted face and an extravagant tail. Apparently the royal budget allowed for two statement pieces, and Lillian spent wisely.

Lillian is affectionate without being relentlessly demanding, though she occasionally decides that the current level of attention is unacceptable and issues a very peculiar little summons. It is not quite a meow. It is not quite a trill. It is simply the official sound of a queen requesting immediate head scratches. Once service resumes, she rewards her staff with enthusiastic purring, excellent biscuits, head butts, and as much cuddling as they are prepared to provide. There is considerable lap-cat potential here, although she has spent most of her recent career busy raising kittens.

Because she has been in full mom mode, Lillian has not shown us her complete playbook yet. She is curious, confident, and interested in what is happening around her, so we expect her post-maternity era to include considerably more investigating and play. She is an adaptable cat who should fit comfortably into most homes, including those with children or other cats. She may approach a new dog with some initial royal suspicion, but should be able to adjust to a respectful, cat-friendly one with a proper introduction.

Lillian will be ready to go beginning of August, but she is accepting applications now and can be reserved by her future family. Her kittens may have occupied the swamp first, but the queen is now ready to claim a kingdom of her own.
