Some cats have a way of quietly stealing your heart, and beautiful Xena is one of them.

Estimated to be around 2 years old, this gorgeous brown tabby has already overcome more than most cats ever should. Xena came to New Hope Animal Rescue from a shelter with a severely damaged eye that, unfortunately, could not be saved. Her remaining eye has a cataract, but after evaluation, her veterinarians do not believe she requires any additional medical care for her eyes at this time. She has adapted beautifully and doesn't let her vision define who she is.

Xena is a gentle soul who takes a little time to warm up to new people and surroundings, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. One of her favorite things in the world is curling up in her little tunnel toy, happily making biscuits as she purrs away. Those quiet moments are pure Xena—peaceful, content, and full of love.

She isn't looking for a busy household or constant excitement. What Xena dreams of is a calm, quiet home with patient people who understand that trust is earned and that the deepest bonds often take a little time to grow. Give her kindness, a cozy place to nap, and a little patience, and she'll reward you with gentle companionship and unconditional love.
