Meet Scoot - who has defied the odds and thrived!

Scoot was living on a farm overrun with cats and kittens. She was brought to the emergency veterinarian with a high fever and very ill. No one could afford her care, so TC Paw took her into the rescue to save her life. She was named Scoot by the prior owners because of her unusual gait. She walked funny because she had a broken leg that had never healed properly as well as a pelvic injury. The leg has since been amputated and she has healed beautifully. She does not seem at all bothered by any of these things, but one may need to monitor her for constipation in the future.

Scoot is an absolute love! She is so grateful to be in a home and warm and safe with unlimited food. She was profoundly thin with severely matted fur when she was found. She is a small cat, but has gained over a pound since rescued!

Scoot is a champion biscuit maker - vigorously making biscuits at all times! She is very hungry for attention... and food. Scoot loves to eat, especially canned food.

Scoot is now a tripod! Because of her prior injury, she was accustomed to not using that leg so she has very good balance and does not seem at all bothered by the missing leg. Scoot will let you pick her up briefly but does not enjoy it. She is not aggressive about it, but scrambles to get away. She is accustomed to being around a lot of other cats, and seems completely unfazed by any new cat that comes into her space.

Scoot will need a very special home - one that understands she can never be an outdoor cat, provides regular vet care, and makes sure that her environment is safe for her!
