Clarisse - Domestic Short Hair Cat Available for Adoption in Traverse City, Michigan

Clarisse came to TC Paw, along with many other cats, from an in-town Traverse City hoarding situation that had gotten out of control. In her TC Paw foster home, she's a sweet cat with a gorgeous calico/tortoiseshell coat and very expressive eyes. She was skittish and easily startled at first, probably from the disorder of her life in the hoarding mess, but Clarisse is much more relaxed now. She LOVES to be petted. She'll stand on her back legs and wave her paw at you, wind around your legs, and jump up in your chair to ask you to pet her. When you reach down to rub her head, she lifts off her front legs to push against your hand, and she talks in her odd, creaky little voice to tell you she likes it. Clarisse is a friendly, cuddly girl who likes to share the sofa and bed with you. Like many cats who lived with unpredictability, she can still get spooked, though not often. Just move slowly. She gets over it quickly, and all will be well again. She likes people, especially those who give her Churu squeezy treats. She's an enthusiastic eater, a tidy litter box user, and a playful cat who gets along well with other cats.
