Meet Amara!

Amara came into our care when the new baby in the home developed allergies. She is a very sweet girl that loves people.

In a comfortable, familiar environment she will usually greet new people to say hello! With her family she will snuggle up at night or enjoy sharing an afternoon nap. She prefers to always be near her people rather than spending lots of time alone. She has not enjoyed the company of other pets in the past, and will likely be happiest as the only pet in the home.

As a young, active cat she will need ample indoor enrichment so she can exhibit healthy cat behavior indoors, such as playing, climbing and scratching, jumping and perching up high. She loves to play with feather wands and chase her toys. In her previous home she was known to get into some mischief, earing the nickname "Houdini" - opening doors, cabinets or anything with a handle she can flip!

Cats: Amara is seeking a home where she can be the only cat.
Dogs: Amara has previously lived with dogs and may tolerate living with a respectful, cat-savvy dog that will respect her space.
Children: Amara has previously done well living with children.
