Meet Richard!

Richard showed up on a property late last year, and his finders tried to make him a barn cat. Unfortunately, Richard was terrible at the job. They brought him inside to see if he might prefer indoor life, but the resident cats weren’t exactly thrilled about having a new roommate.

Two weeks ago, they took Richard to the animal swap in hopes of finding him a new home. That’s where we found him—terrified, trying to hide underneath some hay in a dog crate.

But once Richard realized he was safe, we discovered what a LOVE BUG he truly is.

Richard doesn’t want to be a barn cat. He wants to be a lap cat! He absolutely loves attention, happily settles into your lap, and will soak up every pet you’re willing to give him. He has been wonderful with the other animals in his foster home and loves every human he meets.

This sweet boy is estimated to be 3–4 years old and is:
Neutered
FIV/FeLV negative
Up to date on vaccines
Microchipped

Richard has been through a lot, and all he’s asking for in return is a safe home, a warm lap, and someone to love him. We think he deserves exactly that.
