At just one year old, Sierra Mist has already been through more than most cats ever should. She arrived at a shelter when she was only 10 months old-underweight, sick, and caring for five tiny kittens all on her own. Despite everything she had endured, Sierra was a devoted mama and gave her babies the best start she could. Now that every one of her kittens has found a loving home, it's finally Sierra's turn.

This beautiful long-haired tortoiseshell is a gentle soul who takes a little time to trust new people. She's shy when meeting someone for the first time, but beneath that cautious exterior is a calm, easygoing cat who simply needs a patient family willing to let her settle in at her own pace.

Sierra isn't looking for a fast-paced home or constant excitement. She dreams of a quiet place where she can feel safe, be spoiled, and discover what it's like to be someone's cherished companion instead of always putting everyone else first.

Pair of altered kittens - $220
Cat 6 months or older - $75
Senior cats 8 years or older- $50

Adoption fees cover the cost of care and veterinary services.

All adoptable cats have received:
Spay/neuter surgery
Distemper vaccine
Rabies vaccine (if over 16 weeks old)
De-wormer and flea prevention medication
Veterinary exam
Test for FIV and FeLV
Microchip

ADOPTION PROCESS
1. Review our adoption contract and application.

2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling.

3. Submit an application, including the cat's name that you are interested in or description of what you are looking for.

4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 1-3 days.

5. If approved, you will be introduced to the foster to schedule a meeting within 5 days. Guidelines for the meeting are:

- Bring a carrier and be prepared to take the animal home directly from the meeting.

- Please be prepared to submit the adoption fee via electronic payment at the meeting.

- If all goes well, the cat will go home with you directly after the meeting. If you are not ready to adopt at the conclusion of the meeting, please understand that we may process other applications for the cat. Because we have a limited number of foster homes, we cannot hold cats past adoption.
