Lilo — The Little Aloha Queen
Aloha from Lilo! With her exotic beauty and mesmerizing golden eyes, Miss Lilo looks like she belongs somewhere lounging beneath the palm trees, watching the waves roll in.
But this little tropical queen’s journey started far from paradise.
Lilo was originally found outside an abandoned house with her six siblings. We were able to rescue four of the kittens, but sadly, one didn't make it. Her other rescued siblings eventually found their forever homes, leaving Miss Lilo as the last of her tropical crew still waiting for hers.
And what a little personality she has become!
Lilo loves sitting by the window, staring outside as though she’s imagining rolling seas, tropical breezes, and all the adventures waiting just beyond the glass. When she isn’t daydreaming, she is busy being a kitten! She is playful, inquisitive, and always investigating something new. The bigger her curiosity gets, the bigger those pounces become!
Lilo may love her humans, but when it comes to other animals, this island girl is very particular about who gets invited into her personal paradise.
Once a feral kitten, Lilo has learned that humans can mean love, comfort, safety, and plenty of attention. Other animals, however, still take some convincing. She may growl or hiss when an unfamiliar animal enters her space, and she needs plenty of time before deciding whether a newcomer is worthy of joining her inner circle.
That doesn’t mean friendships are impossible! Lilo has formed special bonds with a few of our rescue cats, including Stella, Casper, and Luca. Those friendships simply took time, patience, and slow introductions before Lilo decided they could share her island.
Because of this, we believe Lilo would be happiest as the only pet in her forever home, where she can have her humans and her kingdom all to herself. A home with another animal may also be possible with an experienced, patient adopter who understands that introductions will need to happen very slowly and entirely on Lilo’s timetable.
After everything this beautiful girl has experienced, she deserves a home where she never has to worry about surviving again.
Her siblings have found their families. Now there is just one little island girl left waiting for her ticket to paradise.
Maybe paradise isn't a tropical island after all.
Maybe it's a sunny window, a safe home, and a family to call your own.
Could you be the ohana Lilo has been waiting for?
