Meet Sambo — A Tiny Survivor with a Big Heart

Sambo's story began with heartbreak, but this special little boy has shown us just how much strength can be packed into the tiniest paws.

Sambo is the lone survivor of his litter. His mother was part of a cat colony that had been left behind, and when Sambo needed someone most, his foster mom stepped in. She took this tiny baby into her care and began bottle-feeding him, celebrating every little milestone along the way. Day by day and baby step by baby step, she watched him grow, gain strength, and blossom into the wonderful kitten he is today.

And Sambo hasn't forgotten what it means to have someone looking out for you.

As he's grown, Sambo has become a little helper to the younger foster kittens who come into the home. He helps nurture the babies, keeps them company, and shows them the ropes of kitten life. It's almost as if he's passing along the same love and comfort that once helped him survive.

Of course, when Sambo isn't busy being a big foster brother, it's playtime! Wand toys are a favorite—the more feathers, the better! He loves chasing toys across the floor, playing, exploring, and enjoying all the fun he missed out on during those fragile first days of his life.

Sambo also had two wonderful friends, Salem and Jasper, to hang out and play with. But his buddies recently found their forever home, leaving Sambo patiently wondering when his turn will come.

He watched his friends get their happily-ever-after.

Now Sambo is ready for his.

This little survivor has spent his life growing, loving, playing, and even helping other kittens find their way. Now he needs someone who will look at him and say, "You're home, Sambo."
