DESCRIPTION
Meet Greta, a pretty Calico girl found as a stray in a mobile home park who is now ready for the indoor life of a permanent home.
Greta is friendly and sweet but a bit shy. She is taking in her surroundings and surveying her new temporary home. Greta appreciates slow, gentle pets. She will need a minute to adjust until more of her tender personality shines through. Greta would benefit from an adopter who is patient and able to allow Greta to adjust on her schedule. We think it won't take much time for Great to feel secure and to trust she won't be abandoned again.
Greta would be ideal for a single adopter or a couple, who may be around home more often than not. A family with older respectful kids may also be an option. A calm, routine environment will be key for Greta. We think she would be fine in a multi-cat household if the cats are friendly and non-assertive.
Greta has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Greta has an approximate birthdate of 04-30-2025. Her adoption fee is $95.
If you are interested in Greta or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.
Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
Thank you!
ABOUT: CALICO CAT BREED
The Calico cat is known for its unique tri color coat pattern of white, orange, and black. These cats are almost always female due to their genetics, with their striking coats often displaying a patchwork appearance. Calicos are not a specific breed but rather a color pattern found in various breeds, including American Shorthair and Persian. They are typically lively, affectionate, and confident felines, making them popular and charming companions in many households.
