Gemini - Calico Cat for Adoption in Anchorage, Alaska

Hi there, I'm Gemini! I'm a calico girl with unique split-face markings. But I'm not just all pretty looks--my personality is one-of-a-kind too!

I was born outside as a colony cat and was very shy until I moved to a foster home with other cats, where it only took a short time to feel comfortable enough to let my social side show. I'm curious, a little sassy, and seem to discover new parts of my personality all the time. Turns out I'm a slight busy-body who likes to go wherever my cats friends go. Some of my favorite activities are visiting each room of the house just to see what's going on, chasing a ball toy across the floor, hiding behind the couch when I need a break, and munching on treats. I just recently discovered that I really, really love long pets/scratch sessions from humans and will seek them out often. I LOVE the type of pets and scratches that I can really lean into.

I'm still not cool with being picked up, but I'm thinking that being cuddled up against my human and hanging out on a lap might be something I would like to do with my special person when we bond. I tried chilling on the couch next to humans the other day and it wasn't so bad.

In my foster home there are big dogs who never get in my face, and so far I'm pretty indifferent to them.

My ideal home is one where I'm given a time to adjust and continue coming into my own. I will need at least one other friendly cat to hang with and access. I also will need a yard or safe outside place where I can wander around and sniff the flowers in summertime.
