🖤 Sunday

The older brother who refused to let the little ones face the world alone 🖤

I’m Sunday. I was the oldest of us — just a year old — and when our people left and the house went silent, I knew I had to be the one to keep everyone safe. Blossom and Rosalie were so small, and Tulibee — my sweet sister — looked to me for what to do next. None of us understood why the food stopped coming or why the door never opened again. We just stayed close, trying to make the fear feel smaller.

But hunger changes everything.

When property management finally came, they didn’t feed us. They didn’t give us water. They just opened a window and walked away. I remember looking at Tulibee, Blossom, and Rosalie — their thin little bodies, their scared eyes — and knowing I couldn’t let them stay in that empty house another minute.

So I went first.

And Tulibee came right behind me.

We climbed out into the world because we had to. Because someone had to find food. Because someone had to be brave. Blossom and Rosalie followed us, their paws trembling, trusting us to lead them somewhere better. Tulibee stayed close to them, nudging them forward, keeping them moving when they were too scared to take another step.

We searched together.

We survived together.

I never let them out of my sight — and Tulibee never let them fall behind.

When rescuers finally found us, I stepped forward first — not to be bold, but to show the little ones it was safe. Tulibee pressed against Blossom and Rosalie, keeping them calm. And when the can cracked open, I watched them eat before I took a single bite. That’s what big brothers do.

I’m gentle.

I’m sweet.

I’m soft in all the ways that matter.

But I’m also strong — the kind of strong that comes from loving others more than yourself.

I’m ready now for a home where I don’t have to be the protector anymore. A home where I can finally rest, finally be someone’s baby, finally be loved the way I loved my little sisters.

If you want a boy with a brave heart, a gentle soul, and a story that will stay with you forever, I’m Sunday — and I’m waiting.
