Clover
A boy who waited for someone to notice he didnt belong.
Clover wasnt born in the colony where he was found. He was left there quietly, suddenly, without explanation. One day he had a home, and the next he was standing in the middle of unfamiliar cats, unfamiliar smells, unfamiliar rules, trying to understand why the world had changed around him.
He didnt fight for space. He didnt know how.
He simply sat off to the side, watching the others move with a confidence he didnt have anymore. He waited for the person who dropped him to come back. He waited for a familiar voice, a familiar door, a familiar anything. But no one came.
When rescuers finally scooped him up, Clover didnt hiss or run. He just looked up with those wide, bewildered eyes the look of a cat who had been trying so hard to be brave in a place he never shouldve been.
In foster care, hes learning that safety can return. Hes a gentle soul, soft in every way, a young gentleman who wants to trust but needs a moment to be sure. Once he realizes hes safe, he leans in with quiet sweetness, grateful for every bit of kindness offered to him. He loves soft voices, slow blinks, and the kind of affection that doesnt rush him.
Clover isnt broken. Hes simply healing from being left behind.
And now hes ready for a home that will never make him wonder where he belongs again.
