**Juniper**
**Every night at 8 o'clock, she appeared like a little promise. **
Someone abandoned Juniper in the woods beside one of our colony sites.
We don't know who left her there. We don't know how long she waited. We only know that every evening, right around 8 p.m., a tiny face would appear through a hole in the fence.
Like clockwork.
Night after night, Juniper would pop out from the darkness, quietly checking to see if anyone had come.
Waiting.
Hoping.
Trusting.
It's impossible not to wonder what was going through her mind. Did she think the people who left her were coming back? Did she spend those lonely days hiding in the woods, only emerging when hunger and hope finally pushed her toward people?
We'll never know.
What we do know is that despite being abandoned, despite having every reason to be afraid of humans, Juniper chose love anyway.
Some cats carry the weight of betrayal with them. Juniper somehow left it behind.
She is one of the sweetest cats you could ever hope to meet. The moment she realizes she's safe, her gentle heart shines through. She melts into affection, happily soaking up every bit of attention she can get. Being held is one of her favorite things in the world, and if you're looking for personal space, Juniper would respectfully like to decline.
Her favorite seat?
Your shoulders.
That's right. This adorable little girl has decided that the best place to be is perched up high, close to the people she loves, watching the world from her favorite human's shoulder like a tiny orange-and-white parrot.
She doesn't ask for much. Just affection. A safe place to rest. Someone to carry her heart as carefully as she carries hers.
It's amazing, really.
A cat abandoned in the woods.
A cat who spent her evenings stepping through a hole in a fence, searching for kindness.
A cat who could have become fearful, withdrawn, or angry.
Instead, she became Juniper.
Sweet. Trusting. Loving.
The kind of cat who reminds you that some hearts stay soft no matter what they've been through.
Now she's ready for the part of the story she should have had all along.
A warm home.
Arms that never let her feel unwanted.
And a shoulder she can claim as her own forever.
