Carlisle
The little boy who never stopped believing kindness would come
When Carlisle was rescued, he didn't do what most frightened kittens do.
He didn't run. He didn't fight. He didn't even cry.
He simply allowed himself to be picked up, his tiny body limp with exhaustion, as though he had already spent every bit of energy he had trying to survive.
There was something impossibly heartbreaking about him. He was just a baby, but his eyes carried the quiet seriousness of someone who had already learned that the world isn't always gentle.
The first night indoors, Carlisle discovered soft blankets. He kneaded them carefully, testing them one paw at a time, as though he wasn't quite convinced they were really his. Then he curled into the deepest corner and slept harder than any kitten should ever have to.
But once he realized he was safe, his true personality began to bloom.
Carlisle is the kind of kitten who loves with his whole heart. He races to greet people, follows his favorite humans from room to room, and melts into every pet as if he's trying to soak up all the affection he missed along the way.
He's playful without being wild, sweet without being needy, and endlessly grateful for every comfort life offers him.
Sometimes he'll pause in the middle of playing just to look at you, blinking those soulful eyes that seem to say, "Is this really mine now?"
Yes, sweetheart. It is.
After everything he's been through, Carlisle deserves a family that will fill the rest of his life with soft beds, full bowls, and the certainty that he'll never have to fend for himself again.
Most of all, he deserves a home where he can finally be exactly what he always should have been:
A cherished little kitten who never has to wonder if he's loved.
