Leon - Pigeon Bird for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

When you see Leon today, you would have no idea that he was once a stressed-out little guy when he first arrived at GLPR. Honestly, though, you cant blame him when life on the streets taught him that being afraid of people is a matter of survival.

With plenty of time, patience, and perhaps a treat or two, Leon has done a magnificent 180 that has been very rewarding to witness. Now, he not only enjoys human interaction, but he thrives on it, and he has many interests that he is very excited to share with you.

Leon likes to begin all interactions the same way many of us do: by showing off some cool dance moves. He loves nesting, (he is a very devoted husbird to his stuffy!) and its not unusual for him to attempt to play fight while wielding a stick from his nest. Its adorable, and it looks similar to a dog holding a chew toy when theyre just so excited to see you.

Leon will do great in a home where he can get all the love and attention he craves. In return, he promises lots of fun, laughs, and endless entertainment!
