The Mulefoot pig breed is characterized by its distinctive solid hoof resembling that of a mule, from which it gets its name. Historically valued for their hardiness and ability to forage, these pigs are known for their docile temperament and good mothering abilities. Mulefoot pigs have a unique genetic makeup with a recessive gene that causes their single toed hoof. They are a rare breed but are gaining popularity for their excellent meat quality and adaptability to various environments.
