DESCRIPTION

Yesterday, we welcomed back 2 rabbits we really hoped we'd never see again.

Not because we don't like them. We love them! But Anya and Bianca were supposed to spend the rest of their lives right where they were.

These ladies were some of the very first bunnies we rescued back in 2021. They've spent over 5 years with a wonderful family who absolutely adores them.

Unfortunately, their mom has cancer and can no longer care for them.

Yesterday, her family brought both girls back to Dolly's with all of their belongings. Everyone cried. It was one of those surrenders that just plain sucks.

Anya and Bianca are now 7+ years old, extremely bonded, and very set in their ways. They've been free roam for years and are basically 2 elderly women who want to be doted on.

Understandably, they're nervous. Their whole world just changed and there's no way to explain it to them.

Thankfully, they're in wonderful hands with their foster family. We even made a special exception to connect their foster mom directly with their mom so she can continue receiving updates. She has enough to worry about without wondering if her girls are eating their hay and behaving themselves. Although we can't promise the behaving part.

And here's what we'd really love.

Will you all root for their mom?

We know her. We love her. And we're really hoping she kicks cancer's ass.

She gave these girls over 5 years of a wonderful life. Now it's our turn to take care of them while she takes care of herself.

And that's something about Dolly's that will never change. Whether it's been 5 days or 5 years, our bunnies always have a home with us. We don't stop loving them just because someone signs adoption papers.

To their mom, we wish so badly that things were different. But please know your girls are going to be loved, spoiled, and fussed over just like they're used to. You don't have to worry about them. We've got them.

And you've got a whole lot of people rooting for you, including all of us at Dolly's.
