DESCRIPTION
No need to "draw the drapes" or "dress the chicken" here, our Amelia Bedelia is ready to tackle her next adventure: finding her future family!
At just about 4 months old, Amelia Bedelia is the brave explorer of the bunch. She's curious, friendly, and usually the first to hop over to investigate something new, whether that's a toy, a treat, or a friendly face. Like any young bun, she's still learning about the world around her, and her playful, adventurous spirit shines a little brighter every day.
Because Amelia Bedelia is still too young to be spayed (we generally complete rabbit spays at 5-6 months of age), she is available through our Foster with Intent program. This means her future family will foster and care for her until she's old enough for her spay surgery, which will be scheduled through the shelter, with the intention of officially adopting her afterward!
Amelia Bedelia may be adopted on her own or alongside one (or both!) of her bunny sisters. If two baby rabbits are adopted together, they'll need thoughtful monitoring as they grow, since hormones and maturity can sometimes change even the strongest baby friendships. Some sisters remain inseparable for life, while others decide they'd rather have neighboring kingdoms than share one. No matter what the future holds, we'll help guide adopters every hop of the way to ensure each bunny has the happiest ending possible.
**If you are interested in meeting any of our Story Book babies, please complete an Adopter Profile form at www.parl.org/adopt and come by to visit us during open adoption hours (Wed-Sun, 12-4pm)!**
