Maruva was rescued on February 7, 2026 from a residential neighborhood in Riverside. No owner came forth to claim her.
She currently weighs seven pounds. I'm not sure if she's a New Zealand, Beveren or Silver Fox Breed but her fur is more like the Silver Fox Breed.
She prefers to be petted while she's on the ground. She will flatten her chin to the ground and chatter her teeth when you pet her head. She will jump on a chair, table, etc to explore things. She might nibble your shoes.
She has good litter box habits, does binkies, definitely likes her pellets and is an overall good girl.
Maruva was spayed on March 5, 2026. She has an estimated DOB of spring of 2025.
Maruva should be housed in an exercise pen or free roam. She is currently free roam in a spare bathroom at the rescue. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is always open and an exercise pen placed around it. (Nylon, pop-up playpens are not recommended as a rabbit will chew right through it!)
Please be over 21 if inquiring about Maruva.
Rabbits are a 10+ year commitment.
Maruva an be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information.
PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
If you have a spayed/neutered single bun searching for a friend, there are plenty of rescue rabbits here available for my signature rapid romance bunny bonding. Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding
