Meet Elfie!

Elfie came to Rabbit Rescue from a local overcrowded shelter that needed urgent help. A brand new foster home was ready just in time for us to be able to take in Elfie as soon as the shelter requested assistance. Fostering truly saves lives!

Elfie is a sweet little girl with a curious heart and determined spirit! She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to explore new things. She would do great in a home where she has space to run around.

Elfie settled into her foster home quickly. She was a little shy at first, but now has no problem coming up to humans for soft pets on the head. Her body language is very clear, she will put her head down and wait for you to rub her head and ears - and nearly fall asleep!

Elfie likes to stay busy, and sometimes will find joy in nibbling on the baseboards or carpet (in typical bunny fashion). Distraction works well for her, and her foster home has been working on finding alternatives to keep herself busy.

On Elfie’s first day in her foster home she mastered her litter box with no accidents. She is free roam when her humans are home, and she will go back into her pen when she needs to use her litter box.

Elfie has a vice, it’s cilantro! She will do anything for her greens, and it has been a wonderful way for her foster parents to bond with her during meal times. She enjoys being brushed when she’s eating, and when she needs a break, she has no problems telling you.

She is very communicative and sometimes sassy! She will make it clear when she doesn’t like something by giving you a little grunt. When she’s happy, she loves to zoom and binky, letting out little happy squeaks!

Elfie is spayed and vaccinated against RHDV.
