*This bunny has his first vaccine for RHDV**
Breed: Britannia Petite
Size: about 2-3 lbs full grown
DOB: Approximately 1 year old as of April 2026
Reason in rescue: Maui was transferred to us from another rescue when he needed a safe place to land.
Personality: Maui was originally rescued and brought to a shelter up north, who determined after only a few days, him to be “unadoptable.” He went back to the rescue but was unfortunately in a busy place with a lot of activity and didn’t do well there so he came to us to see how his behavior was. Maui was known there for biting, “attacking,” and biting onto people and not letting go lol. Let me tell you though, I love this boy so much. He has shown not even one ounce of aggression here. I think it’s a combo of his neuter hormones coming down, being in a place that’s a bit more relaxed, and also being someplace where people understand bunny behavior a bit better. Maui can be scared and nervous of hands at first. We never come at him from the front (and we do not do that with bunnies in general as they cannot see right in front of their face). When we go slow with him and give him time to adapt, he LOVES being petted. He will drop his head to the ground now when he sees your hand coming and loves gentle head pets. He’s a tiny little guy, and as tiny guys go, they are usually high energy. He loves to run around, he loves to dig and play and explore everything. Tiny bunnies especially need a lot of stimulation, things to keep them busy, playtime to run around. They have energy and they want to use it and if they don’t get it out, it can come out in different ways lol. He is a great boy who just needs someone who will teach him he can trust them and let him be a bunny! He’s very good with his litter box. We recommend adults only for this boy due to his size.
Friends: He is a good candidate to be bonded to a spayed female.
Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2' for a single, 4 x 4 for a pair). Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption (but can be waived if pictures or video are supplied of where the bunny will be living). Suggested adoption donation is $70 which includes his neuter, first vaccine, and microchip. Adoption fee will change to $100 when he receives his second vaccine on 5/7
