Lady - Yorkshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Sparta, Wisconsin

Meet Lady! Lady is approximately 10 years old and is thought to be a Yorkshire Terrier-type mix.

We pulled Lady from another WI Shelter who was over-capacity and in need of help with space. We don't know Lady's past, and because she just arrived, we're still learning about her as we go...but what a sweetheart she is! For anyone who appreciates seniors, Lady is a sweet, happy and easy-going little girl who has a bashful/quiet side, but we have a feeling that will resolve when she's back in the comfort of a home environment.

While she could potentially join you on short/slow-paced granny walkies, Lady would also appreciate your quiet days at home where she can snooze in her cozy dog bed and retire the right way. She should do well around respectful pets and older children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. She will likely appreciate older kiddos who understand the boundaries that older pets sometimes need.

Lady's adopters should also be prepared for the costs of grooming, as she will need regular grooming to maintain the health of her skin & coat.

Lady's adopters should be understanding that she's had a lot of change in short amount of time, and may need additional patience while she settles in. We can't wait to learn more about her, but we hope she's adopted even sooner. She's a doll!
