Ga-leanda is a 5-6-year-old Yorkie mystery mix weighing 13 pounds. She's full of spunk, sweetness, and personality, with the classic terrier traits of intelligence and curiosity.

She enjoys playing with her toys, especially fetch! She will drop her favorite rope toy at your feet and give it a little tap to make sure you don't miss her invitation to play.

Ga-leanda gets along well with other small dogs and could be happy as an only dog or with another dog under 20 pounds. A securely fenced yard is required, as she loves to run and is a handful at the end of a leash.

She is quick, strong for her size, and has a high prey drive, so she is not a good fit for a home with cats. Because she tends to get underfoot, she is also not recommended for someone with balance concerns.

Ga-leanda will need regular brushing and professional grooming, which she handles well. She is house-trained and crate-trained.

Ga-Leanda is spayed, current on shots, heartworm negative and had a dental cleaning and extractions.

WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps with no larger than 1.5 inches. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions.

We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business.
Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports.

Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, Bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing.
