Meet Yorkshire Pudding, at just 3 years old and 10 pounds, this little Yorkshire Terrier has already been through more than most dogs should. After spending her early life as a mill mama, she is now getting the chance to discover what it truly means to be loved, safe, and cherished in a home of her own.
She is a petite sweetheart with the softest eyes and a calm, gentle presence. While she is still learning to trust the world around her, she has already shown how much love is waiting beneath her shy exterior.
She can be especially timid around men and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Once she feels safe, her sweet and tender personality begins to shine through. She would do best in a quieter home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace.
Her ideal family will celebrate the little milestones; a tail wag, choosing to sit nearby, seeking out a cozy bed, or offering a brave look for reassurance. Watching a dog like her blossom is one of the most rewarding experiences. She is looking for a home filled with kindness, patience, and gentle love where she can finally enjoy the life she deserves.
Yorkshire Pudding is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
Yorkshire Pudding is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
