Yorkshire Terrier and Silky Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in Buford, Georgia

Meet Hank! This little (well, currently not so little!) guy was picked up stray, brought to a shelter, and shockingly no one ever came looking for him!

It's clear that at one time he was loved, based on his wonderful disposition, his manners in the house, and ... his weight!

Hank is a chubby little fellow, and our first order of business is to help him start losing some of that weight so he can live a long and happy life!

While at the shelter he did have some abnormal lab results, and we are investigating those further with our vets. So far it seems like it could all be related to how overweight he is, and we are hoping that once he trims down a bit things will improve!

In the meantime, Hank is the happiest and friendliest little dog you could hope for! He has had no reactivity to the dogs and cats in his foster home, and he is great with all the people.

Hank has a follow up vet appt on 6/19, and we will re-check his labs then (and hopefully he will have lost some weight and find that he is all good!

We planned on keeping him with us at least til then. HOWEVER... if the right family applies that is willing and able to give Hank the daily walks and other exercise he needs, as well as keep him on a healthy diet to help get him where he needs to be, we will consider letting him go to his forever home before the appt! And we will still cover that visit!
