Pit Bull Terrier and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Buford, Georgia

Dixie is a lovable, and loving, beautiful 7 year old girl. She is also blind. As you can see, her eyes are abnormal, and we are in the midst of finding out the cause and best course of treatment.

Despite her disability, Dixie is a super fast learner and gets her bearings quickly! She figured out how to navigate in her foster home amazingly fast! She loves to go for walks (especially with a doggy friend to follow), and she is an absolute cuddlebug!

Dixie will be going to the doggy ophthalmologist soon, and we will update her bio when we know more about her prognosis. She is available for adoption and the Rescue will cover what is needed for testing, diagnosis, and if surgery is needed we will do that too!

Dixie is a beautiful girl who was cruelly abandoned, found stray, and then wound up in an overcrowded shelter where she quickly became Urgent. Through all of that, and even at her 1st vet appt with us where she was handled all around her eyes and face, she has been nothing but a complete doll.

We would love for Dixie to have another friendly dog in her forever home.
