Yorkshire Terrier and Shih Tzu Dogs Available for Adoption in New Haven, Connecticut

Little Lady is very sweet, loves people, and loves to be held! She is cute, has an average energy level for her age, and an overall well behaved girl. She is likely anywhere from around 1-2 years old and around 10lbs. She was found stray, without microchip and landed in a high kill shelter. We were happy to welcome this deserving girl into rescue. She has a sweet energy, is good with dogs of all sizes and hanging with her foster family.
Little Lady’s bio:
-age appropriate energy, loves to be held and also mellows out nicely
-great with other dogs in her foster home
-likes to be around people
-working on potty training and is doing well in her foster’s routine
-is working on leash training
-does well in her kennel/gated area when home alone
-enjoys toys, bones, treats
-enjoys lounging in the yard and on her dog bed as well as playtime in the yard
-will make a great companion, and a great lap dog to a loving family
-does well so far on car rides to her vet appointments and errands with her foster
-did well for her grooming/bath
-is up to date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, is on flea and tick preventatives, and microchipped
***Little Lady will need grooming routinely throughout the year so we are seeking an adopter with a current or previous grooming reference
