Dusty is an 8‐year‐old, 11.2‐lb gentleman who originally came to us in 2021 and was recently returned due to circumstances that sadly prevented his previous owner from keeping him. He has been a wonderful dog during his time with us and remains a healthy boy with no current medical concerns.

We were told he does very well with older children and enjoys a calmer environment, though he can feel overwhelmed around very energetic toddlers. He has also done well with other dogs his size here at the shelter. Dusty is a steady, affectionate companion who would love a home that matches his sweetness! We do recommend that he has a yard to run around and play in as he does still have that hyper yorkie energy.

His adoption fee is $300.

Because we don't observe our animals in home settings, we aren't able to guarantee whether they are housebroken.

Upon intake, every animal receives:

Spay/neuter surgery

Microchip

All age-appropriate vaccinations

Blood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)

Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

A complimentary wellness exam 7-10 days after adoption

Please note that adopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility.
