Marley is a soon-to-be 3 year old lab cross with loooong lanky legs and the perfect gentlemanly personality. He is polite, he walks well on a leash and he's good with dogs, cats and kids. He was probably named for Marley the movie dog by his kids but his brother-from-another-mother was named Bob so we are not sure if his namesake is Hollywood or music themed. To top off this perfect package, Marley has gorgeous almond shaped eyes that stare right into your soul and a white strip between his eyes and down to his nose for contrast.
Marley is living in a foster home with multiple dogs and cats and he gets along with all of them. Cats are new and it's really funny to see one of the house lions walk up to Marley and then to watch him try to stand and pivot on his tippy toes while turning his head. After this all out show of submission, the only thing left is a to wag the white flag.
Marley is housetrained and can be treat led to go into a crate but he does not need one so he has full range of the house, whether he's home alone (with those dastardly cats) or with other dogs. He is quiet and trustworthy and when you get home, he may sing you a little Marley ditty of happiness that you're back but otherwise, he's just a'snoozing.
This tall, blond walks well on a leash and is open and friendly with everyone he meets when he goes to the coffee shop in town. There aren't a lot of squirrels where Marley is so it's hard to say if those can make him a silly bugger, but let's assume they can. Any self respecting dog can't ignore those pesky tree climbing people.
Marley gets two offleash runs with the rest of the gang and he loves them. He dashes through the fields usually following someone else and then he will hang by the cabin until it's time to go back home. He is fascinated by the horses and will get into the fray with the others if the big grass eaters are close to the fence but otherwise, he's not interested.
This boy is wonderful. Kind, sweet, gentle, gorgeous, easy going and a pleasure to spend time with. He is looking for a home where everything about him will be appreciated and where someone is home so he can shine his light on them. He does expect to have offleash run time in nature because that is where he came from. When he was free in his home community, he would head two streets over to play with his mama and her friends and maybe that continued stability from family is what makes Marley such a grounded being.
Marley deserves the moon and that is what he's looking for in his next family. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated (DAPP and rabies). His adoption fee is $850.
